Making a pretty flower pin

Good morning folks, Claire C here with a tutorial on how to make a pretty little flower pin. I've used one of the gorgeous backing papers from the Here Comes Christmas CD and printed the paper on some printable canvas that I've had for years (if you struggle to get it to print try using some DST to stick it to a sheet of copier paper, leaving a tiny bit of paper to go through the printer first). You'll also need flower die (I've used Sizzix Tattered Florals), some strong glue, a hole punch, a button, some faux berries (or you could use beads), a button, a needle and thread, a brooch back and some twine.

First die cut an assortment of different flowers from the printed canvas

Curl the petals and layer them up (use as many or as few as you like) and add a little strong glue between each layer.

Add another flower on the reverse to keep the back tidy

Once the glue has dried, use a pen to mark the holes for the brooch back

Use a crop-o-dile or a pokey tool to make the holes so you can stitch the brooch back in position

Make sure you fasten the ends on the inside

I wanted my pin to look a little shabby and distressed so I gave it a very light spritz of water and scrunched it up
Here's a pic of the back

Lastly add a pretty button with a twine bow to the centre with some glue and pop some faux berries or beads around the button, again using some strong glue
